Warranty Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Project-Zero is committed to supplying high-quality automotive titanium fasteners and related products.

Our products are covered by the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). This Warranty Policy explains our additional warranty arrangements and does not limit or replace your rights under Australian law.

1. Australian Consumer Law

Project-Zero products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Where applicable, products must:

  • Be of acceptable quality

  • Be safe and free from defects

  • Be durable for a reasonable period

  • Match their description

  • Be fit for any purpose represented by Project-Zero

If a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy depending on the circumstances.

2. Project-Zero Product Warranty

Unless a product listing states otherwise, Project-Zero provides a 12-month limited product warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.

This warranty applies in addition to, and does not replace, your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

3. What is Covered

The Project-Zero warranty generally covers manufacturing defects including:

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Material defects attributable to the manufacturing process

  • Defective threads present before installation

  • Significant manufacturing imperfections affecting intended use

  • Other defects determined to have existed at the time of supply

4. What is Not Covered

The voluntary Project-Zero warranty does not generally cover damage caused by:

  • Incorrect installation

  • Cross-threading

  • Over-tightening

  • Under-tightening

  • Use of incorrect tools

  • Impact damage

  • Scratches or tool marks caused during installation

  • Modification or alteration

  • Grinding, machining or cutting

  • Chemical damage

  • Improper cleaning products

  • Incorrect installation procedures

  • Use outside the intended application

  • Racing or competition use where the product was not represented as suitable for that application

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Cosmetic changes resulting from use or environmental exposure

These exclusions do not remove any rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

5. Anodised Titanium Finish

Titanium anodising is an electrochemical surface treatment.

Colour and finish can vary depending on:

  • Titanium composition

  • Surface preparation

  • Voltage

  • Batch

  • Lighting conditions

  • Viewing angle

  • Environmental exposure

Minor variations in colour, tone or finish between components are a normal characteristic of anodised titanium and may not constitute a manufacturing defect.

Anodised finishes may also change over time depending on exposure to heat, chemicals, UV radiation, cleaning products and environmental conditions.

6. Installation

Project-Zero titanium fasteners should be installed using appropriate tools and correct installation procedures.

Customers should follow the applicable vehicle manufacturer’s specifications and any installation instructions supplied by Project-Zero.

Where a product requires a specific torque specification, the customer is responsible for using an appropriate calibrated torque wrench and suitable installation method.

7. Warranty Claims

To submit a warranty claim, contact Project-Zero with:

  • Order number or proof of purchase

  • Customer name

  • Product details

  • Description of the problem

  • Photographs or video where appropriate

  • Details of installation and use where relevant

Project-Zero may request that the product be returned for inspection.

8. Inspection

Project-Zero may inspect or arrange inspection of a product before determining whether the issue is covered by the voluntary warranty.

Where a product is found to have a manufacturing defect covered by this warranty, Project-Zero will provide an appropriate remedy.

9. Warranty Remedy

Depending on the circumstances, Project-Zero may:

  • Repair the product

  • Replace the product

  • Replace the affected component

  • Provide a refund

  • Provide another remedy permitted by law

The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature of the issue and your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Installation Labour and Associated Costs

Unless required by Australian Consumer Law, Project-Zero does not generally cover:

  • Installation labour

  • Removal labour

  • Workshop charges

  • Mechanical inspection fees

  • Vehicle transport

  • Loss of vehicle use

  • Other consequential expenses

Nothing in this section limits any compensation rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

11. Warranty Transfers

Unless otherwise stated, the voluntary Project-Zero warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not automatically transferable to a subsequent vehicle owner or purchaser.

Australian Consumer Law rights may apply differently depending on the circumstances.

12. Consumer Guarantees Remain

This Warranty Policy does not limit or exclude any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

A warranty period does not mean that your Australian Consumer Law rights automatically expire when that period ends.
